To our SW Oak Creek neighbors
As many of you are aware, Portland Public Schools has proposed 3 scenarios to save money - (A)close 14 schools (including Stephenson Elementary), (B) close 11 schools(Stephenson falls off the list) or (C) do more research as to the benefits of closing schools and postpone any school closure decisions. As you can imagine, the Stephenson community and its neighbors will be deeply affected by a closure, and believe that the more voices that are heard would be a powerful statement from our community and might make a difference!
